# Stock

Copy traders trading stock perpetuals on Hyperliquid.

### What is Stock Copy Trading?

Coinpilot supports copy trading for **stock perpetuals**, powered by Hyperliquid via trade.xyz.

These are **synthetic stock contracts (HIP-3)** that track the price of real-world equities.

{% hint style="info" %}
Stock positions on Coinpilot are:

• Not real equities\
• Not tradable on traditional stock exchanges\
• Synthetic contracts built on Hyperliquid

These contracts are powered by [trade.xyz](https://trade.xyz/) and follow HIP-3 standards.
{% endhint %}

### How it works

The Stock tab works the same way as Crypto and Prediction:

• Discover traders\
• Review performance\
• Configure copy settings\
• Start copying

All flows — discovery, copy trade, and portfolio tracking — are fully integrated.

### Trader Identification

Trader cards now include market badges:

• Crypto\
• Stock\
• Prediction

![](/files/2iKy4NpPjykHLJ7gctP1)

This allows you to quickly identify which market a trader operates in.

# Add a Wallet to Follow

You can track any wallet on Coinpilot by pasting in its address, even if it doesn’t show up in All Trader Search yet. This helps you follow and copy traders or wallets you’ve seen elsewhere.

### Why would I track a wallet by address?

You might want to do this if:

* You found a wallet on Twitter, Telegram, or Discord and want to see how it actually trades
* Someone shared a wallet address with you and it doesn’t appear in search
* You want to keep an eye on a specific trader before deciding to copy them

Adding the wallet lets you view its trades and performance directly in the app.

* Configure advanced risk settings (optional)

{% hint style="info" %}
Some advanced settings can still be adjusted after copy trading has started. However, Copy Direction can only be set before you begin copying and cannot be changed later.

#### Manage Your Portfolio

Once copy trading begins, you can monitor and adjust your positions from the `👤 Profile page`.

# Set Your Budget

Choose how much capital you want to allocate before starting copy trading.

Before you can start copy trading, you need to have available balance in your account.

Go to [**Deposit & Withdraw**](/profile/deposit-and-withdraw) first if you have not funded your wallet yet.

Your **budget** is the total amount reserved for copying this trader’s moves. It sets the maximum capital that can be used when mirroring positions.

You can set your budget by:

* Entering an amount manually
* Using the quick allocation buttons: **10% / 25% / 50% / Max**

<div align="left"><figure><img src="/files/DAGq1Y74KpRuPfeOt8TU" alt="" width="188"><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

{% hint style="info" %}

* The **minimum allocation is $100**
* A **$1 activation fee** will be charged when a new copy-trading wallet is used for the first time. And this goes to Hyperliquid.
* Your **Total Allocation** = existing allocation + new allocation + PnL
  {% endhint %}

# Copy Trade Settings

Configure how the trader’s positions will be mirrored.

#### Copy Trade Direction

Choose how positions should be mirrored:

**Direct**\
Mirror the trader’s positions exactly.\
Long → Long\
Short → Short

**Inverse**\
Take the opposite side of every trade.\
Long → Short\
Short → Long

This setting defines your directional exposure relative to the lead trader.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Copy Direction can only be configured before copy trading starts** and cannot be changed afterward
{% endhint %}

#### Sizing Mode

Choose how each copied trade is sized.

**Fixed Ratio (Proportional)**

Trades are copied proportionally based on your allocation relative to the lead trader.

This is the default mode and reflects the trader’s position sizing dynamically.

**Fixed Amount**

Each copied trade uses a fixed amount of capital.

You must enter a fixed trade value, which will be applied to every copied position.

• Minimum trade size: **$12**\
• Each trade will use the same fixed amount regardless of the trader’s position size

This mode is useful if you want more consistent and predictable exposure per trade.

{% hint style="info" %}
Sizing Mode can be adjusted **during copy trading**, allowing you to switch between proportional and fixed sizing without stopping the copy.
{% endhint %}

# Advanced Settings

Set optional risk controls before and while starting copy trading.

Advanced Settings allow you to define additional risk boundaries when copying a trader.

All advanced settings are **optional** and **disabled by default**.

You can enable them individually based on your own risk preference.

### Available Settings

* Take Profit
* Stop Loss
* Max Leverage
* Max Margin
* Copy All Existing Positions

{% hint style="info" %}
Some advanced settings can still be adjusted after copy trading has started.

\
However, Copy Direction must be set before starting and cannot be changed later.
{% endhint %}

### Advanced Settings (Optional) - Per Trader Control

• **Take Profit per Trader**

Automatically close copied positions once a predefined profit level is reached or&#x20;

This locks in gains even if the lead trader keeps the position open.

TP/SL is ROI-based, 1% move at 25x is \~25% ROI.

\
• **Stop Loss**

Automatically close copied positions once losses reach a predefined threshold.

This limits downside risk independent of the lead trader’s strategy.

\
• **Max Leverage**

Sets a maximum leverage cap for copied trades.

If the lead trader opens a position above this leverage, your copy will be limited to your defined cap.

The system will always apply the lower leverage between the lead trader and your Max Leverage setting.

Example:

If the lead trader opens a position at 10× leverage and your Max Leverage is set to 5×, your copied trade will be executed at 5× leverage.

If the lead trader uses 3× leverage and your Max Leverage is 5×, the copied trade will remain at 3× leverage.

\
• **Max Margin**

Limits the maximum margin allocated to a single copied position.

This prevents oversized exposure on individual trades.

Example:

If the lead trader opens a position with $1,000 margin and your Max Margin is set to $200, your copied position will only use $200 margin.

If the lead trader uses $150 margin and your Max Margin is $200, the copied trade will use $150 margin.

\
• **Copy All Existing Positions**

When enabled, you will immediately copy the trader’s currently open positions regardless of price deviation.&#x20;

When disabled, only positions within an acceptable range of the lead trader's entry price will be copied.

→ Long: -10% \~ 0%\
→ Short: 0% \~ +10%

### Adjust Active Positions Risk(Optional) - Per Position Control

After you start copying a trader, you can also manage individual positions directly.

To do this:

1. Go to the **👤 Profile page**
2. Tap **Details** on the copied trader
3. Navigate to the **Positions** tab
4. Select a position and tap the ✎ icon

<div align="left"><figure><img src="/files/WWYuvxCcjJN1EWNhT32S" alt="" width="188"><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

From there, you can:

* Set or adjust **Take Profit**
* Set or adjust **Stop Loss**

These adjustments apply only to that specific position and do not change your overall trader-level settings.

This gives you flexibility to actively manage risk while continuing to copy the trader.

# Manage Your Portfolio

Monitor your active copied positions and adjust them after copy trading begins.

Once copy trading starts, you can track and manage your portfolio from the **`👤 Profile`** page.

#### View Copied Traders

Under **Copy Traders**, each trader is shown as a card with:

* Total PnL and ROI
* Last trade time
* Closed trades & Number of copying trades
* Total balance allocated
* Avalable cash in the total balance allocated

This gives you a quick overview of your copy performance.

#### Manage Your Copy

From each trader card, you can:

* **Edit Copy** – adjust your allocation or settings
* **Reduce Allocation** – take partial profit without stopping copy trading
* **Stop Copy** – fully exit the strategy

#### View Trader Details

Tap **Details** to access the full trader view.

Inside this screen, you can:

* View **open and closed positions**
* Track your **trade log (full trade history)**
* See recent activity and performance

#### Manage Positions

Within the **Positions** tab in the Details screen:

* You can close individual positions
* Adjust risk settings where applicable
* Share position level PnL card

#### Reduce Allocation (Partial Take Profit)

You can reduce your allocation at any time without stopping copy trading.

This allows you to lock in profits or manage risk while continuing to follow the trader. Your remaining positions stay active, and future trades will follow based on the updated allocation.

**Note:** For crypto copy trading, the minimum allocation is **100 USDC**.

# OpenClaw Coinpilot Skill

The Coinpilot Skill for OpenClaw allows your OpenClaw agent to automatically copy trade top-performing on-chain traders on Hyperliquid through Coinpilot.

### **How the Coinpilot Skill Works**

```mermaid
graph TD
A[OpenClaw Agent] --> B[Coinpilot Skill]
B --> C[Follower Wallets]
C --> D[Hyperliquid Perps]
```

The OpenClaw agent interacts with the Coinpilot skill, which executes copy trades through follower wallets on Hyperliquid.

Once installed, your OpenClaw bot can:

• Discover top-performing traders\
• Start / manage / stop copy trading\
• Apply risk management settings (max leverage, stop-loss, take-profit)\
• Track portfolio performance across follower wallets\
• Auto-rebalance your portfolio and trade based on your goals

This guide walks you through the full setup process.

{% hint style="info" %}

### Prerequisites

Before installing the Coinpilot skill, make sure you have already completed the following:

* Deployed your OpenClaw runtime environment
* Configured your OpenClaw (Telegram bot, Discord, or other interface)

If you are new to OpenClaw, please complete the basic setup first.
{% endhint %}

### Step 1: Install the Coinpilot Skill

Coinpilot OpenClaw skills are installed via ClawHub: <https://clawhub.ai/alannkl/coinpilot-hyperliquid-copy-trade>

If you’d like to understand how the skill works before installing, you can also check the GitHub README, which includes installation guidance, example use cases, and the full source code details:<https://github.com/coinpilot-labs/skills/blob/main/coinpilot-hyperliquid-copy-trade/README.md>

{% hint style="info" icon="bell" %}
**Security Notice**

You may see a “malicious skill” warning when installing the Coinpilot skill. This is an automatic alert OpenClaw shows for any skill that interacts with wallet private keys.

Secured by Privy, Coinpilot never collects your private keys or personal data. Your credentials remain local to your OpenClaw agent.

Never share your private keys or credential files with anyone.
{% endhint %}

### Step 2: Download Your Coinpilot Skill Credentials

To connect the Coinpilot skill with your OpenClaw agent, you need to export the wallet credentials generated by Coinpilot.

These credentials include:

* The configuration file (`coinpilot.json`)
* The private keys of your sub-wallets

{% hint style="info" icon="bell" %}
Never share your private keys or the exported JSON file with anyone.

These credentials provide full access to your wallets and should be stored securely.
{% endhint %}

**Export the wallet credentials:**

1. Download the Coinpilot mobile app (App Store / Google Play).
2. Create or log in to your Coinpilot account.
3. Go to  `Profile 👤` → `Settings ⚙️` → `Export Wallet`&#x20;
4. Finish the Privy login flow.
5. Select `Download Agent Skill Credential` , this will export a configuration file: `coinpilot.json.` The exported JSON file contains:\
   • Your API key for the OpenClaw skill\
   • The wallet structure required for copy trading\
   • The addresses of your primary wallet and sub-wallets

<div align="left"><figure><img src="/files/okv3FcvWg3i4asYJgvvA" alt="" width="188"><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

**Export the sub-wallet private keys:**

From the same `Export Wallet` section, you can retrieve the private keys for each sub-wallet on Coinpilot, secured by Privy. Detailed steps: [Export Keys](/profile/export-private-keys)

### Step 3: Configure the Wallet JSON

1. Open the exported **coinpilot.json** file and complete the required wallet fields.
2. Copy the private keys for sub-wallets and insert them into the corresponding fields in the `coinpilot.json` file.\
   \
   Wallet Structure\
   **Primary Wallet (index 0)**\
   • Used as the funding wallet\
   • Provides capital for copy trading\
   • Does not execute trades directly\
   \
   **Sub-wallets (index 1–9)**\
   • Used by the OpenClaw agent to execute copy trades\
   • Each sub-wallet can follow a different trader\
   These sub-wallets are used by your OpenClaw agent to execute copy trades.
3. Once completed, provide the updated **coinpilot.json** configuration to your OpenClaw agent.

### Step 4: Start Copy Trading & Join the OpenClaw Campaign

After configuration is complete, your OpenClaw agent can begin copying traders.

Using the Coinpilot skill, you can:

• Discover high-performing traders\
• Start copy trading a selected wallet\
• Adjust risk parameters\
• Monitor portfolio performance<br>

{% step %}
Tap the <mark style="color:blue;">`Activity`</mark> button on the card of the lead trader you copied.

<div align="left"><figure><img src="/files/jteLyQPWzqlffn2zKrum" alt="" width="188"><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
You’ll see a chronological list of trade activities, with the option to tap any entry for full details.

{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

### Trade List View

On each lead trader’s profile you’re copying, you’ll see a chronological list of their trade activities.

Each entry shows:

* Asset (e.g., $HYPE)
* Direction (Long/Short, Open/Close)
* Timestamp
* Trade Status (Executed / Skipped)
* Reason (if skipped)

### Activity Details

Tapping into a specific trade entry opens the **full metadata** for that trade.

#### Copy Trade Info (your execution)

* Asset
* Direction (e.g., *Close Full Short*)
* Status (Executed / Skipped)
* Reason (if skipped) — e.g. *below min order size*, *outside 3% entry rule*, *no position to close*
* Quantity

***

#### Reasons for Skipped Trades

The log shows why a trade didn’t execute on your account, reducing confusion.

Possible reasons include:

* No open position to close
* Trade size below Hyperliquid’s **$10 minimum order size** (Coinpilot now bundles small balances together until they reach 10 USDC, then executes)&#x20;

  <div align="left"><figure><img src="/files/XQboDynNLx047bcVFB5N" alt="" width="188"><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>
* Entry price outside the **3% rule** for existing positions
* Insufficient available balance

### **About Coinpilot**

#### **1. What is Coinpilot?** <a href="#id-1.-what-is-coinpilot" id="id-1.-what-is-coinpilot"></a>

Coinpilot is a mobile-first copy trading app, powered by Hyperliquid and Polymarket. You can discover top-performing traders and copy their positions in real time, fully on-chain and non-custodial.

#### **2. What does it mean that Coinpilot is “Powered by Hyperliquid”?** <a href="#id-2.-what-does-it-mean-that-coinpilot-is-powered-by-hyperliquid" id="id-2.-what-does-it-mean-that-coinpilot-is-powered-by-hyperliquid"></a>

**Hyperliquid** is the decentralized exchange that sits behind Coinpilot.

* When you add USDC, it sits in your wallet on Arbitrum and funds your trading account.
* When a trade is copied, the order is placed on Hyperliquid, with Coinpilot's help.
* Learn more about Hyperliquid:\
  [Hyper Foundation](https://hyperfoundation.org/) \
  [Hyperliquid Stats](https://stats.hyperliquid.xyz/)

#### **3. What does it mean that Coinpilot is “Powered by Polymarket”?** <a href="#id-2.-what-does-it-mean-that-coinpilot-is-powered-by-hyperliquid" id="id-2.-what-does-it-mean-that-coinpilot-is-powered-by-hyperliquid"></a>

Polymarket provides the underlying prediction market infrastructure used by Coinpilot’s Prediction Market feature.

When you copy a prediction trader on Coinpilot:

* Your funds remain in your self-custodial wallet.
* Orders are executed on Polymarket.
* Market pricing and settlement are handled by Polymarket.
* Coinpilot provides the discovery, analytics, and copy-trading layer, while Polymarket provides the market infrastructure and execution environment.
* Learn more about Polymarket:\
  [Polymarket Doc](https://docs.polymarket.com/)<br>

#### **4. Is Coinpilot free to use?** <a href="#id-4.-is-coinpilot-free-to-use" id="id-4.-is-coinpilot-free-to-use"></a>

### **Copy Trade**

#### **1. How does Coinpilot find and rank traders?**

We continuously tracks traders from the Hyperliquid and Polymarket leaderboards.

We then apply our proprietary **AI Power Algorithm**, which evaluates performance across multiple dimensions, including profitability, consistency, drawdown, trading behavior, and capital efficiency.

Instead of relying on raw PnL alone, we analyze risk-adjusted performance and behavioral patterns to surface higher-signal traders.

This process powers:

* **AI Picks:** algorithm-selected traders based on overall performance quality
* **Categories:** such as Long Bias, Short Bias, Scalper, Swing, Holder
* Performance filters including Win Rate, Profit Efficiency, and more

Our goal is not just to highlight the biggest winners, but to identify traders with sustainable, repeatable edge.

#### **2. Is there any scheduled maintenance?** <a href="#id-4.-is-there-any-scheduled-maintenance" id="id-4.-is-there-any-scheduled-maintenance"></a>

Yes. Hyperliquid runs a **weekly network upgrade**, during which trading may be paused. Expect **\~20 minutes of downtime**, typically with advance notice. During this time, some actions (like copying or syncing trades) might be delayed or temporarily unavailable.

Don’t worry, your positions and funds remain safe during upgrades.

Stay tuned to our Discord channel [here](https://discord.com/channels/1369631245515882618/1392482615298232473) to be updated beforehand.

#### **3. How many traders can I copy at the same time?** <a href="#id-4.-is-there-any-scheduled-maintenance" id="id-4.-is-there-any-scheduled-maintenance"></a>

You can copy up to **9 traders simultaneously** across both Crypto and Prediction Markets.

Your account includes:

• **1 Primary Wallet** for deposits and withdrawals\
• **Up to 9 Sub-wallets** used for active copy trading

All wallets are fully self-custodial, and you can export your private keys at any time

#### **4. Can I stop copying a trader?**

Yes. You can stop copying a trader at any time.

If you want to stop copying a single trader or stop copying all traders at once, please refer to [How to Stop Copying](/profile/portfolio-and-accounts) for the detailed steps.

#### **5. How can I share a P\&L card?**

You can generate and share a P\&L card directly from your **`👤 Profile`** page.

To learn how to share performance from copied traders or individual positions, please see How to [Share a P\&L Card](/profile/portfolio-and-accounts) for the full guide.

#### **6. Do I need to stop copying to use my profits for future trades?**

No, you don’t need to stop and restart copying.

When a copied position is closed or settled, your PnL (profit or loss) is automatically added back to your balance.

As long as you are still copying the trader, your updated balance will continue to be used for future copy trades.

You only need to stop copying if you want to take profit and exit completely.

### **Rewards**

#### **1. How do I claim referral rewards?** <a href="#id-1.-how-do-i-claim-referral-rewards" id="id-1.-how-do-i-claim-referral-rewards"></a>

Referral rewards accumulate in real time. You’ll be able to claim them directly in the **`🎁 Rewards`** page once you have more than $10. See more details: [Referral Program](https://docs.coinpilot.com/rewards/referral-program)

### **Account**

#### **1. What is the Unified Account?**

Coinpilot now introduces a **Unified Account** that combines the previous Funding Account and Trading Account into a single balance.

If you joined Coinpilot before the 2.0 update, you may need to **move funds from your previous Funding Account** to complete the transition.

For step-by-step instructions, see: [Troubleshooting](https://docs.coinpilot.com/resources/troubleshooting#why-am-i-asked-to-move-my-funds-after-the-2.0-update)

# Perpetual FAQ

#### **1. How do I choose who to copy?** <a href="#id-2.-how-do-i-choose-who-to-copy" id="id-2.-how-do-i-choose-who-to-copy"></a>

Head to the 🏠 Home page to explore crypto perp traders on Hyperliquid.&#x20;

Browse by categories:

* AI Picks: Traders selected by Coinpilot’s AI ranking system
* Most Popular: Traders currently attracting the highest number of copiers.
* Category: Explore traders by strategy type and performance characteristics. (e.g., Long/Short bias)
* All Traders: View the full tracked leaderboard.
* Watchlist: Traders you’ve saved for closer monitoring.

You can also sort by **PnL, ROI%, Max Drawdown, Win Rate, Sharpe, Sortino, Profit Factor, Efficiency, or Volume** across **1D / 7D / 1M / All** timeframes. Tap into any profile to review detailed performance data before copying.

> **Pro tip:** Start with **`Mock`** to test a trader’s strategy risk-free, or tap the icon to **`Copy Full Address`** and check their on-chain record directly on Hyperliquid.

#### **2. How much do I need to deposit to start copy trading?** <a href="#id-3.-how-much-do-i-need-to-deposit-to-start-copy-trading" id="id-3.-how-much-do-i-need-to-deposit-to-start-copy-trading"></a>

The minimum deposit is **$3 USD** using direct crypto deposit. To copy a lead trader, you’ll need at least **$100 USDC on Arbitrum,** this ensures there’s enough capital allocated to follow their trades effectively.

#### **3. My Deposit did't land on Coinpilot?** <a href="#id-4.-my-deposit-didt-land-on-coinpilot" id="id-4.-my-deposit-didt-land-on-coinpilot"></a>

If you have deposited USDT on Arbitrum or USDC from other networks to your Coinpilot wallet.

Here’s what you can do:

1. You can export the private key of your Coinpilot wallet from the app. Here's the step-by-step guidance to export the private key on Conipilot: [Export Keys.](/profile/export-private-keys)
2. Then import that wallet into MetaMask (or any compatible wallet) to view your assets directly, you should see the USDT or USDC on other network there.,
3. Once confirmed, we recommend swapping the USDT to USDC (Arbitrum) and then redepositing to continue using Coinpilot normally.

#### **4. Where does the money go if I close a position manually or via SL/TP?** <a href="#id-6.-where-does-the-money-go-if-i-close-a-position-manually-or-via-sl-tp" id="id-6.-where-does-the-money-go-if-i-close-a-position-manually-or-via-sl-tp"></a>

* The realized PnL (profit or loss) is added back into your Balance for that trader.
* That Balance will then be used automatically for the trader’s future trades as long as you keep copying.
* If you stop copying, the Balance (including all PnL) is returned to your Crypto Balance.

#### **5. Why didn’t my trade go through?** <a href="#id-8.-why-didnt-my-trade-go-through" id="id-8.-why-didnt-my-trade-go-through"></a>

Sometimes trades are skipped. Reasons may include:

* Position size below Hyperliquid’s $10 minimum (Coinpilot now bundles small balances together until they reach 10 USDC, then executes)
* Entry outside the 0% \~ 10% rule if you have the "Copy all existing positions" toggled off (default). When toggled off, Coinpilot only copies existing positions that are within the following price range of the lead trader’s **entry price**:

  * **If your lead trader’s position is Long:** Your copy will only execute if the current market price is **between –10% and 0%** of the trader’s entry.
  * **If your lead trader’s position is Short:** Your copy will only execute if the current market price is **between 0% and +10%** of the trader’s entry.

  More details: [Copy All Existing Positions](https://docs.coinpilot.com/copy-trade-engine/settings#advanced-trade-settings-copy-all-existing-positions)
* No position to close
* Insufficient balance

Go to [Copy Trader Activity](https://docs.coinpilot.com/copy-trade-engine/trade-log) to check more details.

#### **6. Can I copy multiple traders?** <a href="#id-9.-can-i-copy-multiple-traders" id="id-9.-can-i-copy-multiple-traders"></a>

Yes, you can copy up to **9 traders in parallel on Hyperliquid (and Polymarket)**.

#### **7. Can I stop copying anytime?** <a href="#id-10.-can-i-stop-copying-anytime" id="id-10.-can-i-stop-copying-anytime"></a>

Yes. You can check your portfolio and stop copying from your [Profile](/profile/portfolio-and-accounts) page.

#### **8. What happens if the lead trader adds margin or deposits more funds?** <a href="#id-11.-what-happens-if-the-lead-trader-adds-margin-or-deposits-more-funds" id="id-11.-what-happens-if-the-lead-trader-adds-margin-or-deposits-more-funds"></a>

* If the trader adds more to an existing position (to reduce leverage or improve liquidation price):

  Nothing changes on the your side, Coinpilot does not mirror margin adjustments that don’t involve new trades.
* If the trader increases their position by buying more of the same asset using additional margin:

  You, as a follower to this lead trader, will copy this as a new trade, with the added margin scaled proportionally to your portfolio size.
* If the trader deposits more funds into their wallet:

  This does not affect your current copied positions. However, future trades (including scaled entries) will reflect the lead trader’s increased balance and be copied accordingly based on your allocation.

# Prediction FAQ

#### 1. **What is the minimum amount I can allocate to copy a trader?**

The minimum allocation is $10.

#### **2. Can I copy multiple traders at the same time?**

Yes, you can copy up to 9 traders in parallel on Polymarket (and Hyperliquid).

#### **3. What happens if a copied trade would exceed my allocation?**

The trade will be sized to fit within your available allocation. If your allocation is fully deployed in existing positions, new trades may be skipped until funds become available.<br>

#### **4. Can I manually close a position that came from a copy trade?**

Yes. You have full control over your positions and can close them at any time from the Active Positions section.<br>

#### **5. What happens when I stop copying a trader?**

Your existing positions from that copy relationship remain open until you manually close them or they resolve. Unspent allocation returns to your available balance immediately.<br>

#### **6. How quickly do copy trades execute after the leader trades?**

Coinpilot's Smart Execution Engine monitors leader activity continuously and executes copies as quickly as possible while optimizing for price and slippage.<br>

#### **7. What markets can I copy trade on?**

Coinpilot supports all Polymarket markets, including Politics, Crypto, Sports, Pop Culture, and more.

#### **8.** Why do I still see Active positions after stopping copy trading on Polymarket?

If you stop copying a trader on Polymarket, some positions may still appear under Active Positions (Pending Close). This is related to how Polymarket settles markets.

**How Polymarket position states work**

On Polymarket, positions generally move through 2 states:

**Current**\
A position that still exists in the system. This includes positions in markets that are **live or already ended but not yet settled**.

**Closed**\
A position becomes fully closed only after the final outcome is settled and the position is **redeemed**.

This can happen in two ways:

* **Redeemed** – the winning outcome is claimed and the position is finalized
* **Lost** – the position has no value left and nothing can be redeemed

Until one of these happens, the position may still appear as **Current**.

**Why positions remain active after stopping copy**

Stopping copy trading does not immediately close existing positions.\
Positions may remain Active because the market has not yet been fully settled or redeemed on Polymarket.

Even if the event has passed its End Date, the position will remain Current until settlement is completed.

Once Polymarket finalizes the outcome and redemption happens, the position will move to **Closed** automatically.

#### **9.** Why my Prediction Balance and Available Balance don't match after I stopped copy trading?

This is also caused by unsettled positions.

When positions are still in the Current state:

* Funds remain locked in those positions
* They are counted in Prediction Balance
* But they are not yet available for new trades

Once the market settles and the position becomes Closed, the balances will update automatically.

#### **10.** Why am I getting an "unexpected exchange error" on my Polymarket copy trades, and how do I fix it?

This is caused by [Polymarket's V2 upgrade](https://docs.polymarket.com/v2-migration) (launched April 28, 2026), which retired the old wallet system. If your Coinpilot account was set up before that date, your Polymarket wallet will need to be manually upgraded to their new system — this is a one-time step that only you can complete from your account.\
\
To fix it:

1. Stop copying the affected lead trader
2. Go to `Profile` page and `Troubleshoot Polymarket Wallet` in Coinpilot and run it
3. Restart copying the lead trader

If trades still don't come through, run the Troubleshoot tool once more, your account may have more than one old wallet that needs upgrading. Your other copy trades won't be affected.\ <br>

# Wallet FAQ

#### 1. **What does “self-custodial” mean?** <a href="#id-3.-what-does-self-custodial-mean" id="id-3.-what-does-self-custodial-mean"></a>

Your wallet is created through **Privy**. Coinpilot never has access to your private keys.

* Your funds stay in your wallet.
* You control deposits, withdrawals, and trading.
* We cannot freeze or move your assets.

#### **2. How can I sign up? Can I use my existing wallet? Or do I need to create one?** <a href="#id-2.-how-can-i-sign-up-can-i-use-my-existing-wallet-or-do-i-need-to-create-one" id="id-2.-how-can-i-sign-up-can-i-use-my-existing-wallet-or-do-i-need-to-create-one"></a>

Right now, you sign up and log in with your **email**, secured by **Privy**. When you do, **non-custodial wallets** are automatically created for you. The wallets are tied to your account, fully under your control, and you can export the private key anytime.

Support for logging in directly with an existing wallet is planned in our roadmap.

#### **3. Does Coinpilot have access to my private keys?** <a href="#id-1.-does-coinpilot-have-access-to-my-private-keys" id="id-1.-does-coinpilot-have-access-to-my-private-keys"></a>

No. Private keys to your self-custody wallet are generated via Privy and only accessible to you. You can export all wallets' private keys.

#### **4. How do I export my wallet?** <a href="#id-2.-how-do-i-export-my-wallet" id="id-2.-how-do-i-export-my-wallet"></a>

Go to **Profile > Tap on** ⚙️ **>** **Export Wallet**. Log in with your email, select **Export Private Key**, and save it securely. Never share it with anyone.

#### **5. What if I lose my device?** <a href="#id-3.-what-if-i-lose-my-device" id="id-3.-what-if-i-lose-my-device"></a>

Simply log in again with your email. Your wallet is tied to your login, not the device.

# Troubleshooting

### **How do I transfer unused assets from my sub-wallets?**

### **Why am I asked to move my funds after the 2.0 update?**

If you joined Coinpilot before the **2.0 update**, your account may still have funds stored under the previous account structure.

In earlier versions, Coinpilot used two accounts:

• **Funding Account** – for deposits\
• **Trading Account** – for copy trading

In Coinpilot 2.0, these accounts are merged into a **Unified Account** to make your experience faster and simpler.

Because of this change, funds from the previous Funding Account will nee you to transfer to your Unified Account.

**How to move funds to the Unified Account**

1. Open the **`👤 Profile`** page → **`Settings ⚙️`** → **`Unify Account`**
2. Tap **`Move Funds Now`**&#x20;
3. Review the details and tap **`Confirm Transfer`** to finish the transfer.

**What happens after the transfer?**

After moving the funds:

• Your funds in old Funding account (USDC on Arbitrum) will appear under **Crypto Balance**\
• You can use the funds for **Crypto Perpetual copy trading**\
• Your account will follow the new **Unified Account structure**

Your funds remain fully self-custodial throughout this process.

### **Why can’t I see my deposit in Funding History?**

If you deposit USDC (Arbitrum) directly to your Coinpilot Primary Wallet (the one you see on top of the Profile page), you may notice that your account value increases, but the deposit does not appear in Funding History.

This usually happens because the funds are temporarily recognized as Hyperliquid Spot balance instead of Perpetual balance.

Since Hyperliquid is now using Unify account for spot and perp, Coinpilot is building on Hyperliquid for Crypto Perpetual copy trading, the funds need to be moved to the Perpetual account before they appear correctly in your Crypto Balance and Funding History.

**How to fix this**

You can resolve this in a few seconds.

1. Go to the **👤 Profile** page
2. Open **Settings ⚙️**
3. Tap **Fix Deposit Balance**
4. Tap **Fix** to confirm

Coinpilot will automatically move the **USDC Spot balance** into your Crypto Balance.

**What happens after fixing it?**

After the fix:

• Your funds will appear under **Crypto Balance → Available**\
• The deposit record will show correctly in **Funding History**\
• The funds can be used for **Crypto Perpetual copy trading**

No funds are lost during this process, they are simply moved to the correct balance type.

# Fees

Coinpilot keeps fees simple and transparent. Fees differ slightly between Crypto Perpetual (Hyperliquid) and Prediction Market (Polymarket) copy trading.

### Crypto Perpetual (Hyperliquid)

There are two types of fees: one-time activation fees and per-trade fees.

**Fee Overview**

<table data-full-width="false"><thead><tr><th>Fee Type</th><th>Amount</th><th>When It's Charged</th><th>Goes To</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td>Account Activation</td><td>$1 flat fee</td><td>The first time a new wallet copies a trader</td><td>Hyperliquid</td></tr><tr><td>Hyperliquid Fee</td><td> up to 0.045% of trade size (based on the trading volume)</td><td>On every trade (applies to all users trading on Hyperliquid)</td><td>Hyperliquid</td></tr><tr><td>Coinpilot Platform Fee</td><td>0.05% trade size</td><td>When opening/increasing/closing/decreasing a copy trade order</td><td>Coinpilot</td></tr></tbody></table>

**How It Works**

* **Activating a New Wallet**

  When you use a new (unused) wallet to copy a trader for the first time, a $1 fee is charged and deducted from your allocation.

  → Example: You allocate $100 to copy a trader using a fresh wallet - $1 goes to Hyperliquid, and $99 is used for trading.
* **Trading Fees (Per Trade)**

  Every time a trade is executed (buy/sell), a 0.05% platform fee is added by Coinpilot on top of the \~0.03% trading fee charged by Hyperliquid.

  → Example: You place a $1,000 trade → total fee is \~0.08% ($0.50 to Coinpilot, \~$0.30 to Hyperliquid).

> You keep 100% of your gains. No performance or management fees.

Notes:

* For Hyperliquied Fees: check their [official docs](https://hyperliquid.gitbook.io/hyperliquid-docs/trading/fees)

### Prediction Market (Polymarket)

For Prediction Market copy trading, Coinpilot charges:

**1% Platform Fee per Executed Trade**

This fee is applied to each successfully executed copied trade.

Notes:&#x20;

* For Polymarket Fees, check their [official docs](https://docs.polymarket.com/trading/fees)

# Export Keys

Back up your wallet or use it in another app — while keeping full control of your assets. Your Coinpilot account is self-custodial. You have full control of your keys and assets.

You can export your private key at any time for backup or to import into another wallet.

> ⚠️ These give complete access to your account and funds. Only export if you plan to use another wallet or want an offline backup. Anyone with your keys can control your account. Coinpilot and Privy cannot protect your funds once the keys are exposed.

### **How to Export**

{% stepper %}
{% step %}
**Open Profile**: Go to <mark style="color:blue;">`Profile`</mark> tab → <mark style="color:blue;">`Export Wallet`</mark>.

{% endstep %}

{% step %}
**Select** <mark style="color:blue;">`Export private key`</mark> You can choose to export private keys to your Primary wallet (wallet for funding) or other sub-wallets (wallets used to copy trade).

<div align="left"><figure><img src="/files/zXT0ARdUz6pxV4Flma7j" alt="" width="188"><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
**Copy Key:** Tap on <mark style="color:blue;">`Copy key`</mark> to copy your private key.

<div align="left"><figure><img src="/files/ceJUkw1cPmZXJKGM2YDS" alt="" width="188"><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
**Store securely:** Save them in a secure, offline location. **Never** share your keys with anyone.

{% endstep %}

*\*If you do not have USDC, don’t worry. We are working with Privy / Stripe to support fiat on-ramp. (Very) soon, you will be able to load funds into your wallet with Apple/Google Pay, Credit Card, and bank transfer.*

# Step 3: Explore Top Traders

Browse and analyze top traders to find who you want to watch or copy.

On Coinpilot, you can follow top traders from Hyperliquid leaderboard and our curated Hyperliquid list, or request to follow any wallet you’re interested in — just drop the address in our Discord. This feature will be open to everyone in a future update.

On the <mark style="color:blue;">`Explore`</mark> page, you can browse top 0.01% of traders using different filters - All / Watchlist / Smart / KOL / Institution / Whale

* All - view all top traders
* Watchlist - view traders you’ve marked as favorites
* Smart - Traders with strong performance metrics
* KOL - Well-known traders on X or other platforms
* Institution - Professional or fund-linked accounts
* Whale - High-capital traders with large positions
* Additionally, you can refine your search using dropdown menus to sort traders by:

  Time Range: 1D / 7D / 30D / All

  Metrics: PnL / ROI / Account Balance / Max Drawdown / Volume

  > **Example**: To find the top-performing trader in the Whale list based on PnL over the past 7 days, select "Whale" and set the time range to "7D" and the metric to "PnL".

<figure><img src="/files/WI4mqyHWkk490v0PmI9q" alt="" width="375"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### **Get to know lead traders before you copy them.**

Click on any trader card to view their <mark style="color:blue;">`Details`</mark> — including PnL & Account Value over 1D/7D/30D/All time, period returns, max drawdown, current open positions, monthly returns, and advanced metrics.

It’s everything you need to decide who to watch or copy.

<div align="left"><figure><img src="/files/kingMOJiLjwrnc6BQ46q" alt="" width="180"><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

### Mock Copy

The **Mock Copy** feature lets you backtest to simulate copy trading without using real funds.\
It’s a great way to test strategies, compare trader performance, and understand how allocations behave before you start trading live.

* Available directly from each trader’s profile
* No funds required — for simulation only

<figure><img src="/files/03fDBLk7T4snUxggE0cz" alt="" width="375"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Copy Full Address

Want to dive deeper into on-chain activity?\
You can **copy the full trader wallet address** directly from their profile and paste it into the **Hyperliquid Explorer** for full transparency.

This helps you verify all trades and on-chain positions at any time.

# Step 4: Copy Trading

Start copying trades from top wallets in just a few clicks.

1. Once you have locked in a lead trader you want to copy, tap <mark style="color:blue;">`Start Copy Trade`</mark> in the lead trader’s detail page, or alternatively click <mark style="color:blue;">`Copy`</mark> on the trader card directly on the <mark style="color:blue;">`Explore`</mark> page.
2. Set the maximum USDC amount you want to allocate for copying this trader’s positions. Please note that in order for this to be effective, a minimum allocation of $100 USDC is required.
3. Once confirmed, all future trades executed by the lead trader will automatically be copied (replicated) with the same margin proportion to your allocated balance.

Important note:

* Existing positions held by the lead trader will be automatically copied, only if it is within 3% of their initial entry price.
* Only trade orders above $10 USDC will be executed.
* For now, you may copy up to a maximum of 9 traders at any one time.

**What happens if the lead trader adds margin or deposits more funds?**

* If the trader adds more to an existing position (to reduce leverage or improve liquidation price):

  Nothing changes on the your side — Coinpilot does not mirror margin adjustments that don’t involve new trades.

However, future trades (including scaled entries) will reflect the lead trader’s increased balance and be copied accordingly based on your allocation.<br>

  > ✅ TL;DR: \
  > Coinpilot only mirrors **actual trade actions**, not internal wallet adjustments or margin shifts unless they result in a new trade.

# Step 5: Manage Portfolio

Track your performance, manage copied traders, and adjust anytime.

After successful copy, you can see ‘Copied Traders’ and your ‘Positions’ in the <mark style="color:blue;">`Portfolio`</mark> page.

To adjust your allocation to a copied trader, Click <mark style="color:blue;">`Adjust Balance`</mark> in the <mark style="color:blue;">`Portfolio`</mark> page.

1. To add to your existing allocation, slide the slider bar to increase your allocation up to your desired amount. Once set, click <mark style="color:blue;">`Save`</mark> to finalize the adjustment.
2. To stop copying a trader, click <mark style="color:blue;">`Stop Copying`</mark>. Once confirmed, all your existing positions opened through this lead trader will be closed, and no further trades will be copied. Your available balance will be adjusted upwards.

   <div align="left"><figure><img src="/files/SCHlE8pq2380ZdpTnM2a" alt="" width="180"><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

To adjust TP/SL of a copied lead trader, you can update Take Profit and Stop Loss for any lead trader you’re already copying.

1. Go to the <mark style="color:blue;">`Portfolio`</mark> page.
2. Tap <mark style="color:blue;">`Adjust Settings`</mark> on the trader’s card.
3. Tap <mark style="color:blue;">`Advanced Settings`</mark>
4. Here you’ll see the **Take Profit** and **Stop Loss** options. Adjust them as needed and save.

> 💡 This lets you fine-tune risk management without stopping copy trading.

To manually close out a position, simply click <mark style="color:blue;">`Close Positions`</mark> for the specific position that you would like to exit. Once confirmed, your unused margin balance allocated to that specific trader will be increased.

<div align="left"><figure><img src="/files/mly3Xgd1Gwp0u6AtexPV" alt="" width="188"><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

### **Sharing Your PnL Card**

You can now share your performance directly from the app with a PnL Card. Here’s how:

1. Go to the <mark style="color:blue;">`Portfolio`</mark> page.
2. On the top-right of each copied trader’s card or any open position card, tap the <mark style="color:blue;">`Share`</mark> icon.
3. Your PnL card showing your stats will be generated instantly.
4. Tap <mark style="color:blue;">`Share`</mark> or <mark style="color:blue;">`Save`</mark> to post it on socials, send to friends, or drop it in the community.
