Prediction FAQ

1. What is the minimum amount I can allocate to copy a trader?

The minimum allocation is $10.

2. Can I copy multiple traders at the same time?

Yes, you can copy up to 9 traders in parallel on Polymarket (and Hyperliquid).

3. What happens if a copied trade would exceed my allocation?

The trade will be sized to fit within your available allocation. If your allocation is fully deployed in existing positions, new trades may be skipped until funds become available.

4. Can I manually close a position that came from a copy trade?

Yes. You have full control over your positions and can close them at any time from the Active Positions section.

5. What happens when I stop copying a trader?

Your existing positions from that copy relationship remain open until you manually close them or they resolve. Unspent allocation returns to your available balance immediately.

6. How quickly do copy trades execute after the leader trades?

Coinpilot's Smart Execution Engine monitors leader activity continuously and executes copies as quickly as possible while optimizing for price and slippage.

7. What markets can I copy trade on?

Coinpilot supports all Polymarket markets, including Politics, Crypto, Sports, Pop Culture, and more.

8. Why do I still see Active positions after stopping copy trading on Polymarket?

If you stop copying a trader on Polymarket, some positions may still appear under Active Positions (Pending Close). This is related to how Polymarket settles markets.

How Polymarket position states work

On Polymarket, positions generally move through 2 states:

Current A position that still exists in the system. This includes positions in markets that are live or already ended but not yet settled.

Closed A position becomes fully closed only after the final outcome is settled and the position is redeemed.

This can happen in two ways:

  • Redeemed – the winning outcome is claimed and the position is finalized

  • Lost – the position has no value left and nothing can be redeemed

Until one of these happens, the position may still appear as Current.

Why positions remain active after stopping copy

Stopping copy trading does not immediately close existing positions. Positions may remain Active because the market has not yet been fully settled or redeemed on Polymarket.

Even if the event has passed its End Date, the position will remain Current until settlement is completed.

Once Polymarket finalizes the outcome and redemption happens, the position will move to Closed automatically.

9. Why my Prediction Balance and Available Balance don't match after I stopped copy trading?

This is also caused by unsettled positions.

When positions are still in the Current state:

  • Funds remain locked in those positions

  • They are counted in Prediction Balance

  • But they are not yet available for new trades

Once the market settles and the position becomes Closed, the balances will update automatically.
